About Me
Over the years as an Art Director and Designer, having worked for large corporations to small creative boutiques, I have come to realize that I thrive in a collaborative environment, not only within the design department, but with sales, marketing and management. It’s true that more opinions can confuse a message, but if done right, it will also allow a product to strike to the core of its target demographic and be far more successful— as an art director, designer and communicator, that is our goal.
I am looking to be part of a team that understands the importance of cohesiveness, with well organized relationships between departments, and where my 22 yrs of design experience can help the project succeed. I love the challenge of thinking through the process from start to finish, how to best navigate all the challenges of creating a new product, design or package, and to give the end user the best, most memorable experience possible.
I specialize in print, packaging design and photography. These mediums allow me to communicate with the consumer not only through touch, imagery, and the hierarchy of text and information, but the matter in which all the information is presented. Primary, secondary, and tertiary reads.
My recent love is with photography. It’s my goal with every image to create an emotional response with the viewer that entices them to want more; for them to want to experience that sensation just a bit longer and to relate to it in a way they hadn’t previously imagined.
I believe it is my passion for design and imagery, my hard work and desire to communicate to the consumer, that makes me unique amongst other designers. I understand the process from concept through design, production and press-checks. While I am passionate about my work, I don’t let ego interfere with the goal of creating a successful design. A great idea is a great idea, whomever comes up with it, and those great ideas need to be embraced.
